Spintronic terahertz emitter with integrated electromagnetic control

Spintronic thin films are considered as one of the promising terahertz (THz) source candidates, owing to their high performance and low cost. Much effort has been made achieve spintronic THz sources with broadband conversion efficiency. However, development emitters good compatibility, cost, miniaturized technology still faces many challenges. Therefore, it is urgent extend commercial portable satisfy practical applications. Herein, we design a new generation composed an alternating electromagnet electronic controller. Not only can this type emitter largely simplify ancillary equipment for sources, also twice larger signal compared traditional time-domain spectroscopy systems mechanical chopper. Experimental results theoretical calculations electromagnetic coils show that our stably generate signals independent frequency magnetic field signals. As spin film optimized, 75 G satisfies requirement emission. Hence, not efficiency pump power enhanced, but driving current in decreased. We believe wide range applications profound implications based on future.
